Day number 12 was a bit cold and wet, I can't really complain though as we have had some great weather up until now and the forecast is looking good for the next three days so that's great :) Three more days to go, it's crazy how fast this has gone and how far I have run, crazy!!! Today was probably the day with the most hills so far although nothing at all like some of those days in NZ!
I felt p...retty good the whole way, there was a bit of an ache above my right knee but a bit of sports strapping tape sorted that right out ;D
We are staying in Medowie at the Fairway Manor B&B, another very beautiful place and the owner Sharon is such a nice lady, she has made us feel so welcome and looked after us very well :) I don't wanna camp out tomorrow after staying here haha! 70 km run tomorrow, hope it's another good day with better weather ;)
Today was probably one of the worst days out of my Brisbane to Sydney run! However I can't complain too much, my body felt great the whole way and I never felt fatigued, even when at the end after running 70 km's!
The day started out good after leaving the kindness of Sharon and her B&B, it was once I had reached the Newcastle are when things started to go a bit downhill (not literarily)! Everyth...ing slowed right down as I had to stop at intersection after intersection, I took a wrong turn and I had to climb up the steepest hill I've ever encountered (on a road)! I'm really thankful to have Neil with me on this trip, whenever I am feeling down he will crack a joke and make me laugh again :) I also remind myself why I am doing this run, to raise funds and awareness for suffering animals around the world! WSPA is such an amazing charity. To know that there are animals suffering at the hands of other humans makes me realize that climbing a big hill, taking a wrong turn or having a sore leg really isn't anything to get down about. That's what keeps me going!
