Getting ready for a new chapter ;D

I can't believe it has been ten day's since I reached Sydney after fifteen day's of running! I still can't get over how great the whole thing went, it was fantastic!

I received word today that I was on the front page of the Hauraki Herald in New Zealand, that paper covers the town that I grew up in. I was happy to hear that as I still have family and a lot of friends back there so they will be able to see what crazy things I have been up to. The article is on my 'Brisbane to Sydney Run' page.

I had my first training run yesterday since finishing the big run, it was a 20 km run, I finished in 1 hour 43 minutes, not quite as fast as I need to be at but it's still only early day's. I plan to get the time down to 1 hour 30 minutes for the 20 km's and 2 hours 20 mins for the 30 km training runs. I hope to maintain this pace with a heavy pack on my back as well as hill/trail training. This is all to prepare for the Lycian Way Ultra that I will be competing in over in Turkey in September. I don't expect to get an amazing result but I want to be as best prepared as I possibly can and be able to enjoy the experience at the same time :D

I have written up my story of the Brisbane to Sydney story for New Zealand Fitness Magazine, that will come out at the end of September. I have also done a longer version for Sportzhub.com That one shouldn't take too long to come out, will post it up once it is :)

I hope everyone has a good week, I will have another post out by Friday :D
