My Blog

Back in training!

So I'm only four days late with my new blog entry, but that should be of no surprise to anyone that reads these haha!

Right now the Badwater Ultramarathon is happening over in Arazona in Death Valley. This particular Ultra is known as the toughest foot race in the world, not just because of the distance but also because of the exteme heat, I think it's around 50 degress celcius at the moment, crazy but it has been a dream of mine to do it for a while now! Dean Karnazes is back for his 10th time, I met Dean back in 2009 and have kept in contact since, a really nice guy! So far he is in the top 10, let's see if he can keep that up!

I have a 20 km training run this arvo, focusing on speed, hopefully I can beat last weeks time, I should do as it wasn't a fast one. Also, I have some new Glasses and Undies to run in :D Both from my supporters Julbo Sunglasses and Jockey Underwear. It's great conditions outside at the moment so should be a fun one!

Spotzhub.com published the story on my Brisbane to Sydney run, the story (and link to the original) is on my website in the 'Brisbane to Sydney Run' page so check that out, I think they did a really good job and probably one of the best articles so far in my opinion!

Not long to go before the next issue of UltraFit FITNESS magazine is out, probably about 1-2 weeks. I mentioned previously that I had an interview with them before my run to Sydney, it was a great interview so I can't wait to see how it all looks.

I plan on doing a trail, training run once a week from now on. I will be heading to the Glasshouse Mountains this Thursday to scope out some good training trails to run along. These runs at the GHM will be around 30-40km long. I would like to go there for every training run but they are quite far away so it's not very convient. There are however a few different hills around my area so thats good :D

I hope everyone is having a great week, I will try do up another post by Monday, we all know I won't though :P
